Opel Omega fuel consumption

Of all Opel Omega modifications produced from 1989 to 2003 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 6% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 3% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 10% higher. Starting from 1990 Opel Omega average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was similar to average, at 1995 it was significantly higher than average, at 1998 difference became similar to average and finally at 2001 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
