Mercedes GL fuel consumption

Of all Mercedes GL modifications produced from 2006 to 2015 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 15% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 20% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 10% higher. Starting from 2006 Mercedes GL average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was significantly higher than average, at 2008 it was slightly above industry average, at 2010 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
