Jeep Cherokee fuel consumption
Of all Jeep Cherokee modifications produced from 1989 to 2021 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 13% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 12% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 14% higher. Starting from 1990 Jeep Cherokee average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was significantly higher than average, at 2002 it was less than industry average, at 2008 difference became significantly higher than average and finally at 2014 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
