Mitsubishi Outlander fuel consumption

Of all Mitsubishi Outlander modifications produced from 2001 to 2020 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 22% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 19% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 25% higher. Starting from 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was less than industry average, at 2005 it was slightly above industry average, at 2007 difference became significantly higher than average and finally at 2012 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became similar to average.
