Jeep Wrangler fuel consumption
Of all Jeep Wrangler modifications produced from 1987 to 2021 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 18% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 15% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 20% higher. Starting from 1990 Jeep Wrangler average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was similar to average, at 1996 it was significantly higher than average, at 2003 difference became slightly above industry average and finally at 2012 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
