Of all Citroen C1 modifications produced from 2005 to 2019 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 13% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 21% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 5% higher. Starting from 2005 Citroen C1 average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was significantly higher than average, at 2010 it was less than industry average, at 2014 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became significantly higher than average.
