Of all BMW X7 modifications produced from 2018 to 2023 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 10% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is similar to manufacturer's stated consumption, but for diesel engines is approximately 20% higher. Starting from 2018 BMW X7 average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was similar to average, at 2022 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
